Email-ready photos

Reduce image size for email.

Shrink photos so they send cleanly — JPEG output, a 1 MB target, and Full HD width — privately in your browser.

Why this matters

Large camera files bounce from inboxes.

Phone and DSLR photos are often several megabytes each. Email systems cap attachments, and oversized images slow every reply thread. ShrinkPicture can reduce dimensions and file size on your device before you attach anything.

How it works

Three steps before you hit send.

  1. Open the email defaultsJPEG + Smart + under 1 MB + 1920 px width.
  2. Drop the photos you want to sendBatch up to 50. Nothing is uploaded to us.
  3. Download and attachUse your normal mail app — we never send email for you.
FAQ

Common questions

How do I shrink a photo for email?

Open ShrinkPicture with the email-ready defaults on this page (JPEG, Smart mode, under 1 MB, max width 1920 px), add your photos, and download the smaller files before attaching them.

Why JPEG for email?

JPEG opens in almost every mail client and is usually much smaller than PNG for photographs. Use PNG only when you need transparency or exact lossless pixels.

Will recipients still see a clear photo?

Smart mode aims for a strong visual balance while hitting the size target when possible. For a sharper look, raise quality in Maximum mode or relax the size target.

Are my photos uploaded to send email for me?

No. ShrinkPicture only compresses on your device. You still attach and send the files from your own email app.

What if my provider rejects attachments over a certain size?

Try a tighter target such as 500 KB or 200 KB from our size-limit pages, or lower the maximum width further after opening the compressor.
